We run a platform refresher the morning of so staff are fluent by doors-open, including the edge cases — walk-ups, no-shows, name mismatches, on-site upgrades, and badge reprints. For high-volume check-in we deploy a tech lead who handles the gnarly cases.
How many check-in staff do I need for a 1,000-person event?+
For a 1,000-person event with a tight arrival window we typically deploy 8-12 check-in staff plus a captain: 4-6 active stations, 2-3 floaters and badge printers, and 1-2 hospitality directing arrivals. Spread arrivals reduce the headcount. Send the arrival curve from your registration data and we'll size to the peak window.
