The only event staffing
agency you'll ever need.
Eight things every legacy agency in our industry gets wrong — and what we fixed.
- 01Working performers, not gig workersEvery staff member is a working actor, dancer, host, model, or character specialist with years on real audiences. Not someone we pulled off a temp app.
- 02Strict 4.5% acceptance rateOut of every 100 applicants, fewer than 5 make our roster. In-person interviews, reference checks, background checks, ongoing performance ratings.
- 03Trained in-houseBrand voice, improv, on-camera prep, character work, professional event conduct, NDA protocol — coached by our team, never assumed.
- 04Cast to your briefAge range, ethnicity, language, body type, group look, vibe match. We cast each booking — we don't ship from a generic dispatch pool.
- 05Captain on every eventSenior leads on-site for every gig with 6+ staff. They run the day end-to-end so your team gets to be guests at their own event.
- 06Dedicated team + backup coverageNamed event manager owns your booking from quote to post-event report. Backup talent on standby for every 6+ event — no scrambling at call time.
- 07100% W-2, fully insuredEvery staff member is a W-2 employee. Comprehensive general liability, workers' comp, and auto coverage. Certificate of Insurance issued for your venue and additional insureds.
- 0816 years of leadership experienceShowcraft is the corporate spinoff of Characters.io — booking working performers since 2008. We've staffed thousands of events across festivals, theme parks, brand activations, and corporate productions.
Built for scale.
Run with care.

The selling point isn't
that we exist.
Anyone can dispatch warm bodies. Three things make Showcraft staff actually good in person — and they all happen before your event date.
Cast for the audience, not for the calendar.
Brand activations work when the staff matches the audience. Tell us the brief — age range, ethnicity, language fluency, body type, group look, vibe — and we cast accordingly. Our roster is deep enough across 11 metros that we can match the brief without compromising on talent quality.
- Age range & demographic match
- Bilingual / trilingual fluency
- Coordinated team aesthetic
- On-camera comfort & polish
Trained in-house. Not just sent in.
Brand voice, improv, on-camera prep, character work, professional event conduct, NDA protocol — coached by our team for every staff member, never assumed. The legacy industry assumes their applicant pool already knows how to work a corporate room. We teach it.
- Brand voice & talking points
- Improv & live audience response
- On-camera & on-mic prep
- Character & themed performance
A captain runs the day. A team runs your booking.
Every event with 6+ staff gets a senior captain on-site, included. Beyond that — a named event manager owns the booking from quote to post-event report, backup talent is on standby for every event, and our ops desk is reachable by your point of contact for the entire shift.
- Dedicated event manager
- Built-in backup coverage
- Day-of event support desk
- Captain + photo verification
16 years of leadership experience in special events. Same talent backbone behind every booking.

What clients say.
Quote in 6 hours, COI in 12. Talent showed up early, in dress code, and stayed in character all day. We've already booked them for Q3.
Our offsite was the most fun thing our company has done in three years. The host was incredible. People are still talking about it.
We've worked with every event staffing agency. Showcraft is the only one that combines the talent quality, the speed, and the modern ops we'd actually expect in 2026.
Questions buyers ask us.
What makes Showcraft different from other event staffing agencies?+
Three things. First, we replaced the legacy industry phone-tree booking experience with a productized one — quote in minutes, talent on-site in days. Second, our roster is built from working performers, not generic models, which means better engagement on every event. Third, we run AI-driven operations: faster matching, faster proposals, faster COIs.
What kinds of events do you staff?+
Brand activations, retail grand openings, trade shows, conferences, sports family days, festival sampling, holiday parties, and corporate offsites. We don't currently staff bartending or catering — those have specialized licensing requirements, and we partner with trusted regional bartending agencies for clients who need them.
How fast can you turn around a quote?+
Average quote turnaround is under 24 hours. Last-minute gigs (under 72 hours) come with a 20% rush surcharge. Recommended booking lead time is 2–3 weeks for guaranteed full coverage, but we routinely fill faster.
Are your staff classified as W-2 employees?+
Yes — 100% W-2 employees with full payroll compliance. Full California labor law adherence. Protects you from misclassification liability under AB-5 / AB-2257. Procurement loves us for this.
Where in the U.S. do you operate?+
85+ cities across 11 metros — including LA, Orange County, San Diego, the Inland Empire, the Bay Area, Houston, Chicago, Miami, Fort Lauderdale, New Jersey, and NYC.
Do you provide a COI for venues?+
Yes. Comprehensive general liability with workers' compensation and auto coverage. We issue a Certificate of Insurance naming your client, venue, and any required additional insureds — we move as fast as the underwriter allows.
