FAQ · EVENT MANAGERS

Questions buyers ask about event managers.

What does a Showcraft event manager actually own?+

Pre-event: staff briefing, wardrobe confirmation, run-of-show walkthrough, and vendor coordination. Day-of: staff load-in, on-site briefing, shift management, break rotations, vendor liaison, client check-ins, and breakdown. Post-event: photo report, attendance reconciliation, and lessons-learned summary. The event manager is your single point of contact so you don't have to be on radio all day.

Are your event managers W-2 employees?+

Yes. Event managers are senior W-2 employees with comprehensive insurance coverage. Many have producer or production manager backgrounds, so they bring leadership beyond just staff supervision — they liaise with venue ops, AV, catering, and security on your behalf. For events with 6+ staff we deploy a captain by default; for larger productions we deploy a tiered manager + captains structure.

When should I add an event manager to a Showcraft booking?+

Any event over 6 staff gets a captain included. We recommend adding a dedicated event manager when the event is multi-vendor, multi-room, or multi-day, or when you (the client) won't be on-site. Event managers also handle the moments staff can't — vendor escalations, last-minute logistics changes, and client-facing decisions during the run.

Can the event manager liaise with my AV and catering vendors?+

Yes. That's exactly the point. Once you make the introduction at brief stage, the event manager runs the day-of coordination with AV, catering, security, and venue ops so you're not on radio. They escalate to you only when a decision crosses your authority — everything else gets handled. Post-event report includes vendor performance notes.
